Student drop-off begins at 8:50 A.M., classes start at 9:20 A.M., and student release begins at 4:00 P.M.
No students or unauthorized visitors may remain on the school campus before 8:50 A.M. and after r4:30 P.M. without supervision.
Directions from Atlanta
From the intersection of Hwy 78 and Hwy 124 (Scenic Highway) in downtown Snellville go south on Hwy 124 for 0.3 miles to Henry Clower Blvd. Turn left (east) onto Henry Clower Blvd and proceed 0.2 miles to Lenora Church Rd. Turn right (south) onto Lenora Church and proceed 1.5 miles to Pate Rd. Turn left (east) onto Pate Rd. and proceed 0.3 miles to the entrance of SMS.
Due to morning conferences, meetings and planning, parents are asked not to bring students to school before 8:50 A.M. unless specific arrangements have been made with a teacher.
NO STUDENT CHECKOUT AFTER 3:30 P.M.
Before and After School Hours
No students or unauthorized visitors may remain on the school campus before and after regular school hours without supervision.
Visitor Information
Any visitor with legitimate business on school grounds must sign in at the Front Office and receive a visitor's badge. To ensure the safety and confidentiality of students, Gwinnett County limits classroom visitors to :
During School Hours
- Parents/guardians of current students;
Other family members of current students who are 21 years or older and approved by the student's parent/guardian;
Those persons invited by the Gwinnett County Public Schools for official business.
- The principal or designee may, at her/his discretion, grant or deny permission for classroom visits and determine the duration of time.
- Parents and visitors should make an appointment to see a teacher, the principal, the counselors, or to visit their child's classes.
School Authority
School personnel have the authority to warn persons trespassing to leave the facilities or property. Persons who refuse are subject to prosecution under the laws of the State of Georgia.
